Interview questions:

1. Did you pick your genre or did it pick you?

I’ve always love romance novels, so it seemed like a natural selection.

2. Do you write in multiple genres or just one?

Right now just one, but will be expanding in the future to mystery/drama and paranormal.

3. How much time do you devote to writing per day?

It really depends on the day. Anywhere from 4-7 hours.

4. What have you published so far?

I’ve published four books…2 in the Treasured Series and 2 in the Files Series.

5. Has your method of writing changed over the course of publishing your books?

I think it has matured over time. My method is still a bit random as to my technique.

6. Where do you see yourself a year from now?

Still writing of course, expanding my genre and venue of writing. I’ve been offered to write a short film script and a 6-episode television series that is very challenging.

7. Did you self-publish, go the traditional way, or do both?

Right now I self publish, but very open to having a publishing company pick me up!

8. Which method did you prefer?

I only know self-publishing, so I can’t honestly say.

9. Of the books that you have written, do you have a favorite? Why?

My first book, Another Man’s Treasure will always be my favorite. It was a dream come true for me to publish a book.

10. Why did you become a writer?

I’ve always had a love for writing and reading since I was very young. It came very natural for me to write.

11. Who is your target audience?

I write adult romance/erotica/bdsm. I think my books appeal to a wide variety of both females and males.

12. What are you working on now?

I’m working on 3-4 projects right now. Two are film/tv scripts and the 3d in the Files Series. There is one more project, but it’s hush-hush right now!

13. What makes you different from other writers in your genre?

My Files of a Sex Therapist Series is unique in the way that I bring a fresh perspective to BDSM. There are varying degrees in the dynamic from soft kink to hardcore. I’ve done a lot of research and found the BDSM community to be extremely open and accepting. It’s far less about the control and force that has been portrayed in the past. It’s far more about the communication and trust between consenting adults and their willingness to give and receive what they need to be happy.

I worked in finance for 28+ years until Feb. 2012 when the company downsized and I lost my job. The opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream of writing a novel came about when a Facebook friend encouraged me to try after reading a couple blurbs I spit out upon being asked some advice! I took my vivid imagination, my gift of words which I attribute to God, and wrote my first novel Another Man’s Treasure. Admittedly, I fell in love with my own characters and continued their story with my second novel Undiscovered Treasure.
